The big clashes in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh over the encroachment of Jawahar Park. In this conflict, between encroachers and police, a superintendent of police (SP), a sub-inspector along with that 19 protesters were killed and over 100 people injured as police were trying to remove the occupant from the Jawahar Park.
As police were trying to evict the encroachers from the Jawahar Park, the activist of Swadheen Bharat Subhash Sena (SBSS) opened the straight firing against police, in which SP (City) Mathura Mukul Dwivedi and Farah police station Officer Santosh Yadav have been killed.
“Two police man along with the SP of city and 21 encroachers were killed in Thursday’s clashes,” ADG Daljeet Singh Chaudhary informed on Friday morning.
According to the police, the encroachers who had occupied the park for more than two years, belong to the semi religious organization. However, the police was unable to remove them earlier despite the order of court.
The conflict was started when a police man went to the park. To control the crowd, suddenly the situation gets out of control, unfortunately the police resorted to lathicharge and tear gas shells and finally opened fire.
While, encroachers have been on protest for two years and demanded the cancellation of the election of Prisident and the election of Prime Minister of India. Along with this they want that disel should be sold at 60rs per litres and petrol should be sold at 1rs per liters.
Meanwhile, UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Singh Yadav has ordered for the investigation into the occurrence along with that, The CM also has instructed to the principal secretary, home and the DGP to personally visit Mathura district at the earliest and take standard of the condition.
